LOOKING FOUR

ABOUT LOOKINGFOUR

LookingFour is an affordable job hiring platform designed to make hiring accessible for every bossing. Hiring on other job boards can be very expensive, which is why we created this platform, focusing on affordable hiring, especially for entry-level jobs. What makes our service stand out from competitors? First, the price. We’re very affordable. Second, while traditional job boards are more text-heavy, Millennials and Gen Zs prefer visuals. Our job board is image-driven, making it more engaging for younger job seekers. For example, on Jobstreet, posting a job costs around P6,000 to P7,000. As an SME, that’s too much, especially if you’re hiring for entry-level roles like office staff or salespeople. With LookingFour, you can post for just P400 for 14 days. It’s perfect for fresh graduates and those just starting out. That’s what we cater to—affordable and efficient hiring for SMEs.

"This isn't like school, where there's just one correct answer"

So What Inspired the Idea for Your Business? How Did You Start Your Business?

We also have a platform called Looking4, which includes a buy-and-sell feature. On Looking4, users can post second-hand items for sale. This concept was inspired by newspapers from before, which included both classifieds and job postings. That’s why we thought it would be a good idea to combine the buy-and-sell platform with the job hiring platform. As for the key to our business growth over the years, it’s the willingness to fail and experiment. This isn’t like school, where there’s just one correct answer. You have to keep trying and trying until you find what works for you. That’s been essential—continuously experimenting and testing new things until finding success.

If You Could Go Back, Would You Have Grown Your Business Differently? And Why?

I think, of course, you’d like for your business to do better and everything, right? But the mistakes we made along the way, we’ve learned so much from these lessons. So I don’t think I would want to change. But we hope that we would grow more. But the lessons you learn along the way are very helpful.

What's the Best Advice You've Learned From Your Mentor?

I guess one advice is to always keep learning, right? Once you finish school, that’s the end of your education. But that’s where the real learning begins. And that real learning depends on you, right? It’s not other people will learn it from you. You have to go out and learn.
