FINEST MEDIA PH

HOW IT ALL STARTED

I started my business because I am a media practitioner. I began with radio, then moved to television, and eventually transitioned into business. All of those skills, which I didn’t expect, became key ingredients for my role as a creative director. That’s how I started Finest Media PH. Initially, I worked as a freelancer, and in 2020, the business became official. Start-up businesses often begin with freelancers, as you need to be the first one driving the business forward. Sometimes, people think they need to start big, but the truth is, everyone starts small. Over time, Finest Media PH grew and became official. Today, it’s a thriving company. We consider ourselves in the upper middle tier and are proud to have reached our 5th year. Finest Media PH continues to expand, and the journey is ongoing.

"Start before you're ready"

By Peter Daniel Verina

What's the Biggest Risk You've Taken in Your Business?

As a business owner, there’s a lot of risk, especially in finance. I buy assets because we need them, especially in our business. We have to compete in the category of events, and without these assets, the business would struggle. One of the risks I took was capitalizing on the purchase of assets that Finest Media now owns, such as big systems, internet aggregation, and camera systems. We invested in cinema cameras and broadcast cameras that clients specifically look for, not just ordinary cameras, because that’s what we use here in Finest Media. These assets, like the big cameras and cinema cameras, are what we have now. We earned from those investments, did an ROI, and now we’re earning even more. I’m planning to take another risk and buy more assets for my business because that’s what it takes. Risk is inevitable, and it’s part of growth.

If Your Younger Self Is Watching Right Now, What Advice Will You Tell Him?

Start before you’re ready. There’s no such thing as perfection. It begins when you’re not that good, but you need to start. That’s when you study and learn, especially in business. It takes courage to start, so start before you’re ready.

Who Was Your Biggest Motivation?

My biggest motivation, of course, is my family. I have a business partner now. My girlfriend. She’s one of the people who gave me the motivation to do the business. That’s Mikaela Vivas. She’s my co-owner and marketing manager of Finest Media PH. And it became successful. So that’s one of my encouragements. Find a girlfriend who can help you. Someone who can help you with your business.
